For the holidays I decided to visit my family in North Carolina. They have a beautiful house on Summerberry Court, Charlotte, North Carolina.  In the front of the house they have a beautiful screened in porch. We often have our morning coffee just sitting there watching the view.  In the winter they put in glass panes around the porch so they can still sit outside basically.  But since the room is heated they can sit outside for hours and still enjoy breakfast watching the beautiful scenery around the porch. 

Just right outside the porch is a birdfeeder,a beautiful victorian fairy birdfeeder.  The birds just love to swoop in and feed from this feeder.  Of course not many birds feed in the wintertime but my grandfather still insists on putting the feed out for the birds.  I guess as he reached his elder years it became an important part of his morning.  Well, to our surprise today a miracle occurred.  Birds, all different kinds, came and ate from my grandfathers fairy birdfeeder.  There were so many of them feeding that my grandfather ran back into the house to get more feed from them.  Well he got the feed alright but as he hurried from the house he tripped and bird feed was all over the porch.  But he hurried out to the feeder and put the remaining feed into the feeder.  As the birds started to fly away my grandmother came out of the house with her  Hoover Flair stick cleaner and cleaned up all the feed in a matter of seconds.   The   handle drops to horizontal for maneuvering under furniture which enabled my grandmother to clean it all up despite her bad back.  You know these discount vacuums do the work of the regular vacuums but they are so lightweight anyone can handle it.  My grandfather popped off the cup of the vacuum and threw the feed on to the ground in the yard.  My grandmother praised the day she purchased this discount vacuum and was so happy it did the job of her much more heavier one.
